Culture

There are wide economic and cultural gaps between patients and healthcare workers and hence moral judgments are often made in regard to the actions of patients. Essentially healthcare workers should not rigidly stick to the western health care system only in dealing with patients since there are other means that are not necessarily related to medical science alone in stakeholders that affect patient care techniques. The patient must be treated by all means as a human being who has a life that extends beyond the environs of the hospital. Health care implies a face to face relationship with patients in keeping with their specific needs.

In regard to medical tourism there are lot of foreign providers of medical services that adopt different business models and quality. But despite the fact that with medical tourism there are some limitations in regard to lack of recourse to malpractices, new markets and capacities are growing rapidly and presently such a market is worth $2 billion.

Stakeholders and Consumer relationships drive changes in healthcare

More than ever before health care establishments require newer and creative strategies to innovate upon their businesses and to implement changes by effectively involving people in the change processes. Because of the challenges and priorities of leadership roles, the solutions and approaches have to be creative in exploiting the unique characteristics of the health care system. There is a lot of inter-dependence between departments, employees, and physicians which makes the changes difficult to bring about. The most reliable method to bring about positive change is to make people from different groups come together. Change initiatives also require the engagement of consumers according to their respective cultures since building such strategies into the initiatives proves to be very significant for all stakeholders.
