Health care innovation is a common word on the other hand, quality care can only be maintained and improved if new ideas are brought into the mix. As the backbone of high-quality health care, nurses are an essential part of any system that relies on them to function. Nurses play a crucial role in deciding the quality of health and social care and in empowering individuals to make decisions, and in public health, health promotion and illness prevention are critical parts of future healthcare (Cummings, 2021). There is a claim that leadership teams must assume responsibility for training and development as well as recruiting and incentive systems that promote creativity. So that in the future, nurses can be healthy innovators and entrepreneurs themselves.
Innovations in nursing applications are crucial for enhancing health, preventing disease, identifying and avoiding risk factors, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and validating care and treatment methods because innovation aids institutions in developing and discovering new knowledge, methods, and services (Wei, 2019). In addition to their primary role in the health care system, which is patient care, nurses have a responsibility to discover better versions of nursing services at the best cost and quality; and their knowledge of what they do and their scientific basis; and cons. It all begins with a simple notion, but innovation goes far beyond that.
When a difficulty in the workplace prompts the generation of a question, we say we are “asking”. The answer to the query serves as a compass for the pursuit of data. Multiple sources of evidence are cited. Research into the published literature is how scientists gain evidence for their theories and hypotheses. Performance metrics, quality metrics, and financial metrics are all examples of what an organization’s leadership might point to as evidence. Stakeholder evidence comprises the opinions of individuals who will be affected by the decision. The acquisition phase is where evidence is gathered. It is important to identify keywords and search engines before beginning the process of conducting a systematic literature search; As long as the librarian is available, this can be done (Adams, 2019). This data is generally provided by quality and financial departments. Employee or patient surveys are two ways to get evidence from stakeholders. The strength of the evidence must be analyzed as part of the review process.
The preparation of innovative thinking goes beyond the existing stage of the solution; it is a continuous process. Nursing solutions are everywhere, but they necessitate a unique approach. The solutions, on the other hand, focus on organizational shortcomings that require long-term and scalable fixes. One can use present solutions in nursing as a starting point for developing nurse innovators by using them as a guide. Nurturer innovators can help to make these solutions more widely applicable and long-lasting for their intended audience (e.g, nurses, patients, families, physicians, health professionals). In order to improve the user experience of current products and processes, nurses develop these solutions.
It is essential for nurses to become innovators to improve health care quality and health equity by adopting innovation science as a core skill of the profession Innovative nursing practices that arise to fill organizational and systemic gaps in the health care system should be looked at for alternative answers. Building a foundation for future innovation in healthcare and business is the first step toward addressing current problems and opening up new ones. The infrastructure may resemble a specific council for nursing and healthcare innovation, an innovation unit, or a makerspace lab where new ideas can be discussed and developed.
